British TV manufacturer Cello Electronics announces the launch of their brand new range of smart, Android TVs, developed in partnership with Google.
The Bishop Auckland based electronics firm, and last remaining LED TV manufacturer in the UK, worked closely with Google to develop an exclusive range of smart TVs, which come with Google Assistant, Chromecast and Google Play Store all built in to one device, straight out of the box.
With this added technology and functionality, the new range makes watching TV simpler than ever. Viewers can activate the built in Google Assistant by saying βOkay Googleβ or pressing the mic button on the remote to ask for their favourite shows or check the football scores.
Celloβs new smart series also incorporates Googleβs Chromecast technology, which allows you to cast photos, videos and other content from your Android device straight to the TV.
The range will launch screen sizes fromΒ 24β³ to 50β³, with larger formats to follow later in the year.
Brian Palmer, CEO of Cello Electronics said βPartnering with Google has been a fantastic move for us as a British business. To be able to give our customers viewing choices not only Google Play Store and Freeview Play content, but to be able to cast directly from your phone to the TV is technology we are thrilled to share.β
With Google Play Store built in viewers can also access a huge range of apps and services, whether thatβs streaming or downloading your favourite content from Netflix, Youtube, and Disney+, to catching up with shows you missed through BBC iPlayer.
Cello TVs also include Freeview Play, which allows users to access 85 additional channels plus 20,000 hours of on demand content for no extra cost.
Developed exclusively by Google for Cello Electronics, the Android TV range is available to buy onΒ Amazon,Β eBayΒ and through a number of online retailers.
