Why thin TVs struggle with sound
Good sound needs space to move air, and a slim panel has very little of it. To keep the cabinet thin, most makers fit small speakers that fire downwards or backwards, away from you, so the sound bounces off the stand or the wall before it reaches your ears. The result is thin, boxy audio where speech gets lost, bass is missing, and you push the volume up to catch the words. It is a trade-off of design, not a fault with your ears.
