Features might be what catches your eye when you're choosing a new TV, but reliability is what matters once you've been living with it for years.
A great picture and a long list of smart features are important, but so are the things you don't always see on a specification sheet: how a TV is made, how quality is controlled, what support is available and what happens if something does go wrong.
At Cello, we believe those details matter just as much as the technology on the screen. Here's how we approach reliability from manufacturing through to long-term support.
Where are Cello TVs made?
Cello is a family-run European company, founded by Brian Palmer in 1996, with a long history in television manufacturing.
Today, Cello manufactures televisions in Europe, giving the company close involvement in the production process rather than simply putting its name on finished, imported hardware.
Having this connection to manufacturing means the team can maintain greater oversight of production and quality control, helping ensure that standards remain consistent.
You can find out more about how our televisions are made on the Cello factory page and explore the European-made range.
Why does manufacturing close to home matter?
Where a television is made can have an impact on how closely its production is monitored.
When design, assembly and quality checks are closely connected, potential issues can be identified earlier and improvements can be made more directly. It also gives the people behind the products a much closer understanding of how each television is produced.
A shorter and more controlled supply chain can provide additional oversight at different stages of manufacturing.
Of course, no electronic product can be guaranteed to last forever. But careful production, consistent quality control and experienced manufacturing teams can all contribute to building a television designed for dependable everyday use.
What warranty do Cello TVs come with?
Every Cello TV comes with a 12-month guarantee as standard.
Selected models also qualify for an extended three-year warranty when registered within 28 days of purchase. This includes smart TVs measuring 32 inches and above, as well as every model in the Traveller range.
You can see the qualifying models in our three-year warranty collection.
An extended warranty provides extra reassurance that you're covered for longer after bringing your new TV home.
Don't forget to register your TV
If your television qualifies for the extended warranty, registration is an important step.
Simply complete the online product registration form within 28 days of purchase.
It's worth doing as soon as your TV arrives. Keep your model details and purchase date handy, complete the form and you'll have the additional cover in place should you need it.
What happens if something goes wrong?
Reliability isn't just about how a product performs when everything is working perfectly. It's also about what happens when you need help.
Cello's customer support team is based in the UK, giving customers access to people who understand the products and can help with questions, setup and troubleshooting.
Having support close to the manufacturing operation also helps keep communication between the teams straightforward, so customer issues can be addressed efficiently.
Manuals, downloads and ongoing support
A TV should remain useful long after you've taken it out of the box.
That's why we provide instruction books and downloads for our products, making it easier to find the information you need for setup and ongoing use.
Our FAQs also cover many of the common questions customers have about their TVs.
Having these resources readily available means you can often find the answer you need without having to search elsewhere.
It's about more than what's inside the box
Long-term reliability isn't determined by one component or one specification.
It's the result of how a product is designed, how carefully it's manufactured, how quality is checked and how well customers are supported afterwards.
That's why we place so much value on our manufacturing experience and keeping our products, people and support closely connected.
